These nuts come from our Dunstan hybrid chestnut trees, which are naturally resistant to chestnut blight and ideal for sustainable growing. As we often say, chestnuts “don’t like wet feet”—so they thrive on hillsides, slopes, and land that may otherwise go unused.

General guidelines - you’ll wrap your jumbo chestnuts and store in your crisper 45-90 days to replicate winter. Plant the seed, and as your seedling grows, you’ll repot until it’s ready to go in the ground at 24-36.” Make sure you protect your young tree from deer - they love eating the leaves! They will grow zones 5-9.
