It may only be early summer, but here at the Diamond R Ranch, we’re already seeing encouraging signs for the upcoming chestnut season. The trees are healthy, the weather has been cooperative, and if things continue on this track, this fall’s harvest is shaping up to be one of our best.

If you're already daydreaming about cooler weather or looking forward to seeing family and friends again for the holidays, you’ll want to see what Chef Norbert Bomm did with last year’s harvest. Our chestnuts were featured in his Chestnut Sausage Stuffing recipe, and he took the time to share why he trusts us for organic, fresh chestnuts. It’s a great example of what thoughtful cooking with seasonal ingredients can look like.

We were especially proud to be featured by Chef Norbert because his values as a chef reflect what we care about as growers. His food philosophy centers on balance, flavor, and simplicity - using fresh, wholesome ingredients that don’t rely on excess fat, sodium, or processing. That same mindset is behind everything we do at the ranch. We don’t use fertilizers or chemicals. We care for the land, tend to our trees, and harvest each chestnut at just the right moment. For us, it’s about delivering real food, grown with integrity and handled with care.

With the season coming into view, we’ll be opening up pre-orders soon. If all goes well, we expect the harvest to begin in early September. Keep an eye on your inbox for an email from us. Pre-ordering is the best way to reserve your share of this year’s organic chestnuts, shipped fresh from our farm in insulated boxes with cold packs to protect quality every step of the way.

Thanks for being part of our Diamond R Ranch community. We’re grateful for your support each year. And if you're on our mailing list, you’ll be among the first to know when this season’s chestnuts are about to drop.
